  In September 2009, my husband (LT for the US Army) and I (Special Ed Teacher) went to Sleepy's one weekend in hopes of finding a mattress for a new bedroom set that we purchased. Our motto is to ALWAYS be polite and responsive to any person, regardless of their attitude. With that said, a salesperson quickly and eagerly followed us around giving us a bedroom 'sleep test' to see which mattress was best for us. When mentioning our price range he showed us the back storage room and pointed out a child's size mattress that we would get for the money we could spend (500.00). We were taken aback by this sarcasm/abrasiveness. When we decided to just look around and do some 'sit tests' on beds, my husband and I got a quick moment alone to discuss our options. We decided to shop around since we were first time mattress buyers. We politely told our salesperson that we will probably be back once we figure out what we wanted exactly. My husband then extended his hand to shake the man's hand and thank him for his time... and the salesperson put up his hand in refusal to shake my husbands...saying that we 'could look for days but will never find anything that matched Sleepys.' Once outside, my eyes teared up with emotion at this unfortunate, rude, and UNprofessional situation. I was so infuriated FOR my husband because he is an excellent person who serves our country selflessly. I decided to write this review, because even after several months, I am still disgusted as we drive past Sleepys on Town Square Rd. What happened with our mattress purchase?? We went to THE DUMP in Oaks and found a King sized mattress, a Spring Air mattress, with a memory foam pillow top. Box springs included! The Price? 589.00 with Free Shipping. We have never had better sleep! The Dump does have some downfalls, but they were so helpful and POLITE. They knowledgeably notified us of the pros and cons of the mattresses. They did not NEED to sell us something. It was they experience we hoped for!
